Through Wistful Explorer, 2015's homage to Annie Smith Peck by Renée, we explore the strength and courage of a remarkable mountaineer who refused to be bound. known as one of the most prolific and greatest mountianers of her time, one notable climb up Mount Coropuna in Peru (1909) she planted a flag bearing "Votes for Women!" - an indomitable spirit that should forever stand as a testament. The painting speaks too of journeys yet undiscovered; even after wearing again clothing more 'suitable' for one woman alone during this era, Peck could not shake off all desire for new experience life on offer beyond what was known at home.
